Today’s readings invite us to step out of fear and into the light of Christ. God delivers, God sends, and God saves. Where we feel confined or uncertain, the Lord calls us to live truthfully, courageously, and with hope.
The Word
In Acts, the Apostles are imprisoned, yet the Lord makes a way for them and sends them back to keep proclaiming life. The psalm answers with trust: the Lord hears, delivers, and surrounds His people with care. In the Gospel, Jesus reveals the heart of the Father: God sent the Son not to condemn the world, but to save it, and those who live in truth come into the light.
Reflection
There is a clear movement in these readings: from confinement to freedom, from fear to witness, from darkness to light. The Apostles do not hide after being freed. They return to the mission site. That is a quiet but powerful reminder that God’s grace is not only meant to comfort us. It is meant to send us.
Jesus also speaks tenderly and plainly. The light has come. We are invited not to shrink back, but to come closer. That can mean honesty in prayer, repentance where needed, and renewed trust where our hearts have grown tired. The Lord does not draw us into the light to shame us. He draws us there to heal, restore, and make His work visible in us.
So today, do not stay in the inner prison of fear, guilt, or hesitation. Bring your real heart to God. Ask Him to help you walk openly in His light. Even one small act of faith, truth, or obedience can become a witness to His saving love.
Call to Action
Bring one hidden burden into the light today by naming it before God in prayer and taking one faithful step forward.

thank You for meeting me with mercy and light.
Lead me out of fear and into faithful trust.
