Because Christ has been raised, our faith reaches beyond the limits of this life. Today’s readings invite us to live with resurrection hope and to put that hope into action through faithful service, generosity, and wholehearted support of Christ’s mission.
Christian hope is not simply optimism about tomorrow. It is rooted in the risen Christ. When we believe that Jesus has conquered death, our daily choices can become signs of that hope through generosity, service, and faithful love.

In 1 Corinthians 15:12–20, Paul makes clear that Christ’s resurrection is at the heart of Christian faith. Without the resurrection, faith would be empty. But Paul ends with the joyful certainty that Christ has truly been raised, becoming the firstfruits of those who have died.
Psalm 17 expresses a deep longing for God’s presence and protection. The psalmist trusts that true fulfillment comes from seeing God’s face and resting in His presence.
In Luke 8:1–3, Jesus travels from town to town proclaiming the Kingdom of God. The Twelve accompany Him, along with Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Susanna, and other women who support His ministry from their own resources. Their quiet generosity becomes part of the work of spreading the Good News.
Reflection
The resurrection changes the horizon of our lives. Paul reminds us that our faith does not end at the grave. Because Christ is risen, suffering does not have the final word, death does not have the final word, and even the smallest acts of faithfulness can carry eternal meaning.
This hope is not meant to remain only in our thoughts. The Gospel shows people putting their faith into action. The women who accompanied Jesus offered what they had to help His ministry continue. Their service may have seemed ordinary, but it supported the proclamation of the Kingdom.
We may not travel from village to village with Jesus as they did, but we can still take part in His mission. A generous gift, a quiet prayer, a meal prepared for someone in need, patient encouragement, or time given freely can all become ways of serving Christ.
Because Jesus is risen, nothing offered to Him in love is wasted. We can live today with confidence, knowing that God can use our ordinary faithfulness for purposes greater than we can see.
Prayer
Risen Lord Jesus, strengthen my faith in the hope of Your resurrection.
Teach me to use my time, gifts, and resources generously in service of Your Kingdom.
Help my daily choices reflect the joy and hope I have found in You.
