The Word
Paul reminds Timothy that God’s Word is not chained and calls him to faithful service. Psalm 25 asks the Lord to teach his ways. In the Gospel, Jesus names the greatest commandments: love God and love your neighbor.

Reflection
Jesus names the center of the spiritual life: love God completely and love your neighbor faithfully. This command is simple, but not shallow. It reaches into our schedules, speech, desires, and hidden motives.
Paul reminds Timothy that God’s Word is not chained. Even when life feels limited, pressured, or misunderstood, love can still move freely. We may not control every circumstance, but we can ask the Lord to make our hearts more truthful, patient, and generous.
The scribe in the Gospel is close to the Kingdom because he recognizes that love is greater than empty performance. Today, we are invited to move from religious habit to holy love, letting devotion become visible in the way we treat the person in front of us.

Choose one act of love today that costs you attention, patience, or generosity.
Prayer
Lord, teach me to love you with my whole heart and to love my neighbor with humble, practical care. Amen.
