Paul speaks of finishing the ministry entrusted to him, while Jesus prays before completing the work given by the Father. Together, the readings point to a life shaped by mission, surrender, and confidence in God.

Reflection
Some days, we measure faith by how strong we feel. These readings invite a different measure: faithfulness. Paul does not pretend the road ahead will be easy. He knows hardship may await him, but he is anchored by the call to bear witness to grace. Jesus, in prayer, looks toward the completion of His saving work and places everything before the Father.
This is a steady word for ordinary life. We may not know what every responsibility will require from us, but we can ask for the grace to be faithful in the next step. The goal is not to control every outcome. The goal is to remain close to Christ, do the work of love before us, and trust that God sees the whole course. A faithful life is often built one humble decision at a time.
Call to Action
Today, name one responsibility God is asking you to carry with faithfulness. Offer it to Him before you begin.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, give me the courage to finish the work You place before me. Keep my heart humble, my purpose clear, and my eyes fixed on Your grace. When the road feels uncertain, teach me to trust You and continue faithfully. Amen.
