Today’s readings reveal the tender heart of God, who calls His people back with mercy and sends them out with peace. We are invited to receive His love freely and share it generously with those we meet.
The Word:
In Hosea, the Lord remembers loving Israel like a child, teaching them to walk and holding them close. The psalm asks God to let His face shine upon His people. In the Gospel, Jesus sends the Apostles to proclaim the Kingdom, heal the broken, and bring peace without seeking reward.
Reflection:
The heart of God is not cold or distant. Hosea shows us a Father who bends low, lifts His child, and feeds with tenderness. Even when His people fail to recognize Him as healer, His mercy remains greater than anger.
Jesus sends His disciples with that same mercy. They are not to rely on wealth, control, or comfort. They are to go simply, trusting God and offering freely what they have freely received.
This is also our calling. We may not travel from town to town, but every day gives us chances to carry peace into homes, conversations, workplaces, and burdens. A gentle word, a patient response, a prayerful presence—these can become signs that the Kingdom of heaven is near.

Offer peace today in one simple way: speak gently, forgive quickly, or encourage someone who feels weary.
Prayer:
Lord, let me see Your face and trust Your mercy.
Teach me to receive Your love with gratitude
and share Your peace freely with others.
