Today’s readings invite us to pause and listen for the movement of God’s grace. The Spirit comes upon the disciples, unites many peoples in hearing God’s mighty works, and empowers the Church as one body. In the Gospel, the risen Jesus brings peace and breathes the Holy Spirit upon His disciples.

Reflection
Pentecost is not only a dramatic moment in the past. It is a reminder that God enters closed rooms. The disciples knew fear, uncertainty, and weakness. Then the risen Christ stood among them and gave peace. He did not wait for them to become brave on their own. He breathed His Spirit upon them and sent them.
The Holy Spirit does not erase personality or difference. The Spirit gathers many members into one body and gives gifts for the good of all. This is deeply practical. The gifts we receive are not decorations for the ego; they are graces for service.
When our hearts feel locked by fear or fatigue, Pentecost invites us to pray again: Come, Holy Spirit. Fill what is empty. Warm what is cold. Strengthen what is weak. Send us with peace.
Call to Action
Pray slowly today: “Come, Holy Spirit.” Then ask how your gifts can serve someone else.
Prayer
Come, Holy Spirit. Enter the locked rooms of my heart with the peace of Christ. Renew my faith, purify my desires, and help me use my gifts for the good of others. Amen.
