The Word
Zechariah announces a humble King who comes not with weapons or worldly power, but with justice and peace. The psalm praises the Lord as gracious, compassionate, and faithful to those who are bowed down.
Paul reminds us that the Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead lives within God’s people and gives them new life. In the Gospel, Jesus reveals His meek and humble heart and invites all who labor to place their burdens in His care.
Reflection
Jesus does not promise a life without work, responsibility, or hardship. He promises that we will not carry these things alone. His yoke joins our lives to His strength, wisdom, and loving presence.
The world often tells us to prove ourselves, hide our weaknesses, and keep pushing forward. Jesus offers another way. He asks us to become humble enough to admit our need and trusting enough to receive His help.
Today, bring Him the burden that has been weighing most heavily upon you. Let His Spirit guide your next step. The King who comes in gentleness is faithful to lift those who are falling and give peace to weary hearts.
