The Word

Reflection
Samuel’s call begins at night, when the world is hushed and distractions fade. God’s voice is not loud or forceful, but patient and persistent. Samuel’s simple reply—“Speak, for your servant is listening”—teaches us that availability matters more than experience. God forms His servants over time, shaping hearts that are willing to listen.
The psalm reminds us that true worship is obedience born of love. God desires open ears and a ready heart. When we trust Him, our lives become a living response to His will, not just words or rituals.

Lord God,
