Life can feel heavy, especially when we’re waiting for answers or relief. Today’s Scriptures reassure us that God sees us, strengthens us, and invites us to rest in Him.
The Word
Isaiah proclaims God’s unmatched power and His tender care for the weary. The psalm blesses the Lord who forgives, heals, and shows compassion. Jesus invites the burdened to come to Him, promising rest and a gentle yoke.
Reflection
God speaks through Isaiah to a weary people who fear they’ve been forgotten. Yet the prophet lifts their eyes: the Creator who names the stars also strengthens every faint heart. Hope in Him renews our strength—He lifts us, steadies us, and sustains us.
Jesus echoes this promise with a personal invitation: “Come to me.” He does not demand perfection or performance but offers rest. His yoke is not a crushing weight—it’s a shared path, guided by His humility and gentleness. As we move through Advent, we are reminded that real strength is not found in self-effort but in surrender to the God who carries us.
Today, let this be your comfort: God knows your burdens, and He meets them with compassion.
