Carry Your Worries to Christ and Share His Good News

On this Feast of Saint Mark, we are reminded to walk humbly, trust God with our worries, and share the Gospel with courage. Christ does not send us out alone; He strengthens, restores, and works with us as we live the faith.

Today, the Church celebrates the Feast of Saint Mark, the evangelist. The readings invite us to humble trust, steady faith, and joyful witness. We are reminded that God cares for His people, strengthens them in trial, and sends them into the world with the hope of Christ.

The Word

In the first reading, Saint Peter calls believers to humility and trust: “Cast all your worries upon him because he cares for you.” He encourages them to remain firm in grace, even when suffering is real.

The psalm gives us a song of confidence: “Forever I will sing the goodness of the Lord.”

In the Gospel, Jesus sends the Eleven into the whole world to proclaim the Gospel. They go forth, and the Lord works with them.

Reflection

Faith is not only something we hold quietly in our hearts. It is also something we live with humility, courage, and love.

Saint Peter’s words are tender and practical. We are not told to pretend our worries are small. We are invited to place them in God’s hands. He cares for us. He sees what weighs on us. He knows what we carry into this day.

The Gospel reminds us that the Good News is meant to be shared. Jesus sends His disciples, but He does not abandon them. As they go, He works with them. That same comfort is for us. We may feel ordinary, uncertain, or weak, yet Christ can still speak through our kindness, patience, forgiveness, and hope.

Today, let humility guide your steps. Let trust quiet your heart. Let the goodness of the Lord be seen in the way you love.

Call to Action

Today, name one worry you have been carrying and offer it to God in prayer. Then share Christ’s love through one simple act of encouragement, kindness, or forgiveness.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, help me place my worries in Your care. Give me a humble heart, a steady faith, and the courage to share Your love through my words and actions. Strengthen me where I am weak, and help me walk today in Your peace. Amen.
